Veterinary Technicians
Christina Burton graduated from Vatterott College with her degree in Veterinary Technology. She started at Rockbrook Animal Clinic in 2004. Chris spends her free time with her husband, Rick, attending softball games and cross country meets to support their daughter, Kim and son, Ryan. Chris has two cats and two dogs.
Melissa Fairfax is originally from Lincoln and started with Rockbrook Animal Clinic in 2002. She graduated from Vatterott College with her degree in Veterinary Technology. She then completed her bachelors degree from UNL in Veterinary Technology and Business. Melissa enjoys her time at home which is spent with her husband, Joel, son and daughter. Melissa 3 dogs, 2 cats, & 2 rabbits. She also works with a lot of neonatal kittens in need through some of our feline rescues. Melissa likes to work on crafts outside of work and playing "mom taxi" to her children.
Jake Hagen began working at the clinic in June of 2011. He graduated from Vatterott College in 2010 with his degree in Veterinary Technology. As well as being a musician, Jake and his wife have become master wood floor refinishers!
Jennifer Lynn-Geneieve worked for the Midlands Humane Society while attending Iowa Western Community College. Since earning her Veterinary Techology degree she has adopted 2 cats. She and her wife, who she met at band camp, stay creative by designing and creating for COSPLAY events.
Alicia Muckey is a graduate of Iowa Western Community College and started at the clinic in 2015. Hers is the voice you hear with pre-surgery information. She and her husband have three dogs, Mia and Mya, & Duke, & two cats Jax & Mac and currently reside in Council Bluffs. Alicia enjoys being outdoors and going to the zoo.
Jessica Pinker is a graduate of Omaha College of Health Careers in Veterinary Technology. She is a full time veterinary technician and has been working at Rockbrook Animal Clinic since 1999. She specializes in mentoring our student employees and zoo academy volunteers. Jessie enjoys spending time with her two children. She also has three dogs and two rabbits.
Our Fulltime Support Staff
Cindy Thompson, Office Manager started at the clinic in January of 2005, and like Dr. Ramm, is an alumni of Nebraska Humane Society. She and her husband James spend their free time with their five children, six grandchildren and three dogs.
Tiffany Morgan began working at the clinic in 2015 and in addition to her duties as a receptionist, handles the training of new employees and the clinic social media. She lives in Omaha with her husband and two cats, Louie and Livie and two german shorthaired pointers named Lucie & Hank. She enjoys crafting, fishing with her husband, Scott and spending time with family.
Katie Ramm began working at the clinic during high school and returned after her graduation from UNL. In addition to her reception duties, she works as a veterinary assistant and and assists in the office. Katie is an avid fisherman, loves traveling, has a green thumb and has a demanding cat named Kip running her nonworking hours.
Julia Clements is a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, SC. She utilizes her biology degree as a fulltime assistant and considers client communication her super power. Julia spends her free time volunteering at the Omaha Street Dog Coalition and walking her cats.
Kristin Thompson can do it all. Receptionist, CSR, and Assistant - there is no job she can't handle. When she isn't multitasking at work she's cooking, hiking or traveling.
Our Veterinary Assistants and Receptionists
The reception team is rounded out by Marge Delaittre, Susan Reagan and Jo Kantor. They are the first contact many of you have when your pet needs care. They always do their best to hear your concerns and connect you with the necessary treatment .
Many of our VAs and CSRs are pursuing an education in veterinary medicine, technology and zoology. We are proud of the way they balance their studies and schedules at RAC. These ambitious students include Alexis Duermyer, Olivia Lackner, Julia Clement, Carly Ingraham, Molly Andreason, Erin Tetske, Jaime Crinklaw and Brylie Meyer.
